Summer is in the air ... oh wait ...

... It's still WINTER! I have to say since moving back to good ol' Az, the weather couldn't be more perfect! The temperature is perfect outside to do whatever you want. While driving down the freeway with Mr. B and baby in the back seat, we passed one of my favorite water parks. At first I couldn't understand why it was closed in such great weather, and then I remembered ...

...were not in Idaho anymore Toto.

Then I felt a small tinge of pain and sadness for my wonderful potato state. Oh Idaho how I do miss you, just not your weather. It's kinda funny how backwards I feel.  I didn't think I would get my seasons mixed up ever. But lo-and-behold, I feel like I'm back in Idaho during the wonderful Summer time weather. As I went on my morning jog the other day I was starting to get worried. Almost every driver in their car would just stare at me with a puzzlement look on their face. At one point I wondered if I had left the house with out my shorts on, but that was just it,

shorts!

I don't think they could believe I was running in a short sleeved shirt and shorts! As I looked around at the other AM joggers sharing the road, I noticed they looked like a sudden blizzard was going to erupt out of the sky and catch them Off Guard. Now the funny thing is, in Idaho I was like a true Arizonian, there was no way you could get me to go running out in the cold (typically 30 degree weather). But since my four+ year stay up there, I guess my blood has thickened quite a bit and now I'm free to go run daily without any complaints. After reminiscing about the past Mr. B brought me back with a reality check. While it is beautiful and blissful right now, Summer here is a whole different story! If I've been thinking its been getting pretty warm right now, come Summer time it will be like an oven!

But either way, the weather is just perfect, like summers in Idaho, to me right now!

So True

I find it funny how everyone thinks women are complicated and I agree, we are. That's why it takes a special man to venture out and actually try to figure us out. I am so grateful that Mr. B decided to marry me and all my craziness, he keeps me grounded on both feet. With out him I'd float off into the sky.

This comic made me smile and laugh:

Life is grand. On another note, while traveling through Phoenix following up on some job lead, I came across a nifty store called Name Brand Exchange. It was fantastic. What you do is bring in your clothes to them and you can either sell them or trade them for something else in the store. It was fantastic! The clothes were in great condition from gently used to NEW! I fell in love with this beautiful twill coat from Banana Republic but since I don't live in the frozen north anymore I wouldn't have much use for it. But it was a great day since I scored on some sweet finds!
On another second note, in the realm of movies, Mr. B and I checked out Night and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. We LOVED it! One of our first all time favorite movies was Mr. & Mrs. Smith (which we still adore) but Night and Day was perfect in every way! It was clean and unexpectedly funny.  I can't remember ever seeing Tom Cruise in a comedic roll before, but loved every min. of it! You should totally check it out, I give it two thumb way up.

Why Mr. B is the Man!

So the other night while having a conversation about this and that, the topic came up about how we could better show our love to one another and make our marriage the richest it can be. Well it has been a few days since our little talk and life has gone on as normal.
This morning while working on some things at my computer, the phone rang and I went over to answer it while holding a VERY wiggle and stinky baby. As my conversation over the phone wrapped up, Mr. B had walked into the living room and then back to where I was. When I hung up the phone, we talked a bit and then I pointed out our stinky baby. To my surprise He swooped her up into his arms, took one big wiff and wisked her away while saying "I got this one covered."

I was amazed at how i didn't even ask him to do the dirty work, I had even said I would change it! Well, boys will be boys and often weird. As I went back to my desk, to my surprise, sitting their in all its handcrafted glory was a beautiful card with a lovely love note inside! I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband who writes me beautiful words and make me fantastic cards!
ode to love notes!
Now I am definitely all warmed up and ready for the Valentine season!
This means it's time to decorate!

AM dilema

Hmmm... yes I am conflicted. Let me explain...
This morning (probably 3am) I woke up to the distress call of my little monkey wanting to be in bed with mom and dad vs. her most beautiful and O so comfortable pac-n-play. Since today is Mr. B's first day of classes, I didn't want him to not get enough sleep. So I bent just this time based on the circumstances. (If you haven't picked up on it just yet, we share the same room since we moved temporarily in with my folk, hey you can't beat free rent!)
Once she was in bed with us and barricaded between the wall and me (so she wouldn't interrupt dad's beauty sleep) she happily (and quietly might I add) talked herself back to sleep. That was short lived. She woke up again maybe 30 min. later and then proceeded to climb all over me trying to escape her barricade to no avail. This swiftly reminded me WHY I enforce the ''no sleeping with the P's'' rule. Any-who this went on and on (in between my sleep attempts) until I watched her trying to comfortable lay her head on our pillows and lay still like us.  It was way cute and my que she was getting sleepy again. So a swaddled her up fed her a bit and like magic she fell fast asleep and didn't protest when I put her back into her bed.
Ah, peace at last. Except for the small detail that now I can't fall asleep! In fact I'm WIDE awake!!! After a quick pit stop and tanking a water bottle I realized my golden opportunity. If Mr. B is asleep along with my little Sweet Pea, then I can basically do whatever it is I want! AKA blog, facebook, tweet, you name it or... drum roll please... watch episodes of PSYCH!!! My only dilemma, well there are a few, 1. it's 5AM I could be catching beautiful z's and 2. this is dependent upon if I go to bed at a reasonable time.   However, based on my pro's and con's list (I like to make lists) waking up in the early morning am is really out weighing the cons.

See if I'm already up, then it would be that much easier to get my booty out the door and running towards my daily running goals. The real topper to all this is the fact that I get a few good hours of 100% me time! Not to be selfish or anything, but a new mom with sooo... many dreams and goals needs a little bit of time to just unwind, or would it be wind up in a positive connotation since I'd be starting up for the day? Any-who, you get my drift.
So for the time being it has been decided that I am going to try out this new AM gig and see where it leads.

Sunny Side Up

It has been a crazy few months here, there and everywhere! We have now officially moved form Idaho back down to the nice warm weather of good 'ol Arizona! I have to say one of my favorite things about being back in my home land, is being able to run every morning without having to worry about slipping on ice or freezing to death! My first week back I was diligent and ran a mile every morning. The following week I kicked it up a notch and ran 2 miles concluding with a 3 mile run on Saturday! My ultimate goal is to get back into the habit of running twice a day 3-4 miles each time. One day I'd like to run a half and full marathon.

One of my favorite things to do after I finish my run is to make breakfast! This morning Mr. B had to leave early to help out some people in our ward so I made him some breakfast to keep him from passing out since he's hypoglycemic. Any-who, so I started things as normal, put the pan on the stove, turned on the correlating burner and cracked an egg open and plopped it into the pan. To my surprise I thought I saw two egg yolks, and after a second glance, I had seen two egg yolks in my pan! But I had only cracked one egg! WEIRD!!! I have never ever seen two egg yolks from one egg! It was crazy, so of course I had to get a picture of it for proof that I in fact cracked open an egg with not one but TWO yolks in it!!!
I had already put salt and pepper on them ... it ... errr... whatever you'd call it.
Well I finished cooking them, told Mr. B about them and he still ate them. Then all morning long I couldn't help but think of egg things. For example, 1. how do two yolks end up in one egg? 2. had this egg been fertilized, would their have been twin chicks? 3. If a hen lays a bunch of "fertilized" eggs, aren't all the chicks that hatch technically fraternal twins, quadruplets, quintuplets, you know what I'm trying to get at. Any-who, the list went on. Have you ever had an encounter with weird produce?
